TRT Tower Hamlets

Not long ago I got an email from ThatReadingThing. Weird, I thought….aren’t I ThatReadingThing?

It turns out that one of our oldest partners, The Gap Project in Bethnal Green has got funding to hire a co-ordinator and run a separate literacy project alongside all the other work they’re doing. Have a look here.

It’s very exciting for me to get to this stage with a great bunch of people. Basically, I’m being made redundant because they will have their own in-house trainer. It’s taken some time to get here but it’s what I’ve had in mind since the very beginning of TRT: that small projects could afford to keep on reaching those kids on the fringes by taking on their own training and development.

So all the best to “ThatReadingThing Tower Hamlets”!

If you’re interested in setting up a literacy project for teens, adults or year 6/7 transition pupils, please get in touch.
